Safety Harbor

Safety Harbor is a lovely quaint waterfront community situated on the Tampa Bay, east of the Gulf.  It is known for it’s historic mineral springs and walkable downtown with shops and restaurants.  This unique golf cart community has lots to offer including a scenic 92 acre Phillippe Park, Pinellas County’s oldest park, home of the Tocobaga Temple Mound. You may have a picnic under one of the many shelters along the water, ride your bike along the trails or hike along the tree lined paths. At the end of the main street, sits the historic Safety Harbor Resort and Spa the landmark and site of “Espiritu Santo Springs”, mineral springs that Hernan de Soto once believed to be the Fountain of Youth.  Today guests can immerse themselves in Florida’s only natural mineral spring-filled pools and indulge and relax at the resort’s 50,000 square foot spa. Visit the Safety Harbor Museum and Cultural Center.  If you enjoy music there is an art and music outdoor venue for special events and city wide Festivals.  There are several art galleries and about town some very unique art decorated homes.
